Last 8 Years vs Last 2

The unending drumbeat of "the failed policies of the last eight years" is annoyingly tendentious and just plain wrong. Compare the state of the nation at the end of the Republicans in the majority in Congress with what's happening right now. Conveniently, that has already been done for you.
If the last two years are a harbinger of things to come, start buying gold and hiding it in your back yard. And, don't forget to stock up on ammo.

Sorry, but it is simply a myth that the government controls the American economy. The most the government can do is distort the economy by misallocating resources, but such distortions are very quickly rectified by the economy.

Blaming one political party or the other for the high price of gasoline, or congratulating one party or another for the low price of gasoline, is ridiculous. Likewise, unemployment rates, GDP growth, the S&P 500 Index, and the inflation rate are all ultimately determined by the economy, not by the government.

This is not the Soviet Union.

Okay, I agree with you on this 100%. However, I succumbed to the simplistic accusations that are made by the other side and used the article to show that they don't know sh*t.
My bad.
