Pogie at Intelligent Discontent has an excellent post that everyone should read. At first, I will admit that I was waiting for him to drop the straw man setup and then lower the boom. To say that I was wrong about him is not enough. I am ashamed that I did stereotype my prediction of what I thought he was going to write. But I am also proud of the examples that he gave.
And he is right, that as conservatives we should call out those uncivil sorts who degrade the discussion. We don't have to wait for the Left to do it. We should just do it because it is right.
Well Done Sir.

Have you read what the guy's said in the past few weeks about "zealots" and others on the Republican side? Now he wants us to believe he's Mr. Bipartisan and hold hands and sing together after he's spent what amounts to the last few years bashing every Republican and conservative idea as hate-based and ignorant?
Get real.
I am not denying that Pogie has done that. I am just saying that we on the Dextra side should rise above such pettiness.
Kind of like wrestling with a pig. You get dirty and the pig loves it.
Anonymous,
Thanks for proving the point of my post. :)
Old liberal con game: Get conservatives to be more like liberals. If you succeed, then you have proof they’re stupid.
Look, if I wanted to listen to silliness and child like reasoning, I would go read Wulfgar. Whether Pogie is going to carry forward matters not a whit. What matters is that I am going to reinstate civil discourse on my own if necessary.
That doesn't diminish my beliefs. Instead it requires me to refine them above childish name calling, or incomplete reasoning.
You need to parse Pogie a little bit more rigorously. He’s fabricated a Montana conservative balloon and pumped it full of gaseous liberal ideas about everything from fuzziness on good and evil to diversity pollution to promoting homosexual marriage.
If you think Pogie’s ridiculous characterization of a Montana conservative is real, then you will love the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
