I Don't Care Which Side of the Abortion Argument You Are On - This is Horrible!

What have we become?
Eighteen and pregnant, Sycloria Williams went to an abortion clinic outside Miami and paid $1,200 for Dr. Pierre Jean-Jacque Renelique to terminate her 23-week pregnancy.

Three days later, she sat in a reclining chair, medicated to dilate her cervix and otherwise get her ready for the procedure.

Only Renelique didn't arrive in time. According to Williams and the Florida Department of Health, she went into labor and delivered a live baby girl.

What Williams and the Health Department say happened next has shocked people on both sides of the abortion debate: One of the clinic's owners, who has no medical license, cut the infant's umbilical cord. Williams says the woman placed the baby in a plastic biohazard bag and threw it out.

Police recovered the decomposing remains in a cardboard box a week later after getting anonymous tips.

Huh. No stem cell research?

Sounds like what Margaret Sanger had in mind.

Steve, for once in a rare rare while, you and I agree ... sort of. But I do have to ask, what do you mean by "we", as in what have "we" become?

You know as well as I do, and probably better than most, that bad things are done by bad people. You wouldn't have done that. I wouldn't have done that. So, what do you mean by "we"?

Wulfgar - The "we" was rhetorical as in what have we human beings become? I am not saying that all human beings would do this, but I question the inclusion of being human to anyone who would do this.

Our species is capable of such awful things. That is probably one of the hardest things for us to admit because we have to admit a 'kinship' with those others. That's often why we attempt to turn those others into 'monsters'. I've argued, long and hard, that they are not monsters. They're just bad people doing bad things.

If that is the accepted case, then your use of the rhetorical "we" is somewhat ... insulting, at best. Worse, it can and has been used to make a larger point for authoritative control of the "we". I would like to doubt that you favor that. At absolute worst, you posted this as gore porn, viewing the bodies after a train wreck of humanity. Seriously, Steve, no BS and no insult, I don't think the last is why you posted this. So I really do wonder, why did you post this?

What a babbling prevaricator. He sounds like Slick Willy doing his “is” shtick.

WE = America, Land of the Legal Abortion

And attacking Steve the Messenger won’t get you anywhere, little camper.

WE = America, Land of the Legal Abortion

Right, glad you have clue ... not. America is the land of free abortion. That doesn't, at any point ever, condone what Steve encourages outrage over in this post.

Aaron, I was trying very hard to be polite here. I did not attack Steve in anyway (except in your diseased mind.) Nor have I prevaricated about anything. I look forward to your bullshit attempt to show that I have. More to the point, I look forward to Steve answering the simple question I asked. Why did he post this?

Address what the post says about legal abortion. (Hint: Tell us how important it is to have legal abortions in America. You know, how safe and happy it is compared to those back-alley coat-hanger places.)

Don’t change the subject to why Steve posted the story. That’s prevaricating. (Here’s some help with a word you don’t understand: “to avoid giving a direct and honest answer or opinion, or a clear and truthful account of a situation, especially by quibbling or being deliberately ambiguous or misleading.”)

23 weeks qualifies as a "late term" abortion, and there seems to be a growing consensus, including President Obama, that late term abortions should not be allowed.

Sorry to take so long to get back. First, to Wulfgar: I posted this because I was shocked, outraged, stunned, and disappointed, all at the same time. That is why I posted this. When I hold my two month old grandson, I have no connection with anyone who would deprive such a vital piece of humanity from the chance to survive.
As to your comment about creating monsters - I think that they were already there, and my actions are to bring recognition not to portray them.
Your question could certainly be viewed as trying to manipulate the debate. I will give you the benefit of the doubt, and not believe that is true.
