What is it with the Press and Birthers?

David Gregory made an ass of himself on Sunday's Meet the Press, by repeatedly demanding that Speaker Boehner repudiate "Birthers." This in spite of the fact that the Speaker kept saying that Obama is an American and is a Christian. I wish that Boehner would have just said that it's not his place to tell Americans what to think (which he did) but it is the job of the Fourth Estate to convey the information. Of course, their lack of credibility is what is allowing this nonsense to keep on festering. Good job David.
